A new report by Reach Out has found a big difference between what parents and teenagers think are the biggest issues facing young people today.

ABC BTN's report on Reach Out's study "What are you worried about?" reveals results of a new report that shows parents' number 1 concern in raising teenagers is social media - in terms of time spent, content viewed and lack of parental controls.

For kids (age 16-18), social media was 24th on their list of concerns! Kids were most concerned about study, future stress, body image, anxiety, cost of living and feeling lonely. Kids identified the support they needed as being someone to talk (parents, friends, trusted adults) to and access to reliable information.
